Connect a custom domain

Prepare, verify and activate a community-owned address on Community Plus.

Custom domains require a configuration change at the community’s DNS provider as well as verification inside PutBoard.

What to do

  1. Open the Board address settings and enter the intended domain.
  2. Copy the DNS record exactly into the domain provider’s control panel.
  3. Allow time for DNS propagation, then return to PutBoard to verify the domain.
  4. Activate and test both public and Manage routes on the verified address.

Good to know

  • Do not remove working DNS until the replacement has been verified.
  • The ordinary PutBoard address remains available as a safe route into the Board.
