A downgrade changes entitlement rather than deleting work prepared on a higher plan.
What to know
- Review the affected features, renewal price and effective date in the Owner Centre before confirming a paid-plan downgrade.
- The current higher plan and its features remain active until the end of the period already paid for.
- The lower recurring price and lower-plan entitlement begin together at renewal, with no prorated charge or credit.
- A scheduled paid-plan downgrade can be removed before it takes effect.
- Pages, Posts, Events, Directory entries, profile and configuration remain stored.
- Unentitled public features become hidden or return to PutBoard defaults only when the downgrade becomes effective.
- Moving a paid Board to Free schedules cancellation for the end of its paid period; the current plan remains active until then.
- A scheduled cancellation can be removed before it takes effect.
- Additional management relationships remain stored but become inactive on Free.
- Upgrading again can restore access without recreating the preserved data.
Good to know
- PutBoard waits for Paddle’s signed confirmation before changing entitlement.
- A protected Board fails closed if password protection becomes unavailable.
- Custom-domain, branding and Directory configuration are preserved rather than deleted.
